the Nice Ironman for the 5th time in a row!
By winning this year’s Ironman event in Nice, Marcel Zamora-Perez took his place on the highest step of the podium for the 5thyear running. He finished the triathlon in 8h and 25 minutes, thereby beating his own record! Cébé is proud to have accompanied him in this outstanding performance.
The Ironman event in Nice is the longest triathlon format, consisting of a 3.8 km swim, followed by a 180 km bike ride, and finished off by amarathon run (42.195 km). In this 2010 edition of the Ironman in Nice, the Spanish athlete completed the swim in 52 minutes, the bike distance in 4h46 and the marathon in 2h42, for a final time of 8h and 25 minutes - an incredible achievement!
He beat the Belgian Frederik VAN LIERD by 5 minutes (49min/4h48/2h 47 – total: 8h30) and the Swiss Olivier MARCEAU by 27 minutes(52min/4h55/2h59 – total: 8h52). More than 2500 triathletes, amateurs and professionals, started the race on Sunday at 6.30a.m. The lastparticipant was expected at the finish line at around 11p.m. Marcel Zamora-Perez achieved this feat wearing, as usual, a pair of Cougar sunglasses:
